Christmas Eve

So this year for Christmas we stayed home at my in laws. We had such a good time! on Christmas eve day we drove into San Francisco and found the most awesome Russian Deli. They had the best Peroshki I have ever had! Then we went to golden gate park and went frolfing! We had a blast. Everyone frolfed all 18 holes (we actually only did 17 but everyone played every hole). In this picture is our Aunt Dana, my mother in law, my sister in law and my wonderful husband!

Me and my mother in law

My husband is such a stud that red thing is his disc going in the hole.

.
We went and saw the lights at the Oakland temple after frolfing and ghiradeli square

Then we all came home and played apples to apples!

black friday

so we went black friday shopping to get me a new lap top. We got to office depot 45 min early and we were waiting there in line. The workers were going by passing out the coupons for the computers. The one who came by with the coupon for the computer I wanted handed the last one to the guy in front of us. Me and nick looked at each other and were like seriously!!!! Then the guy found another coupon on his clip board! so I got the last laptop!! It is the one and wanted and totally perfect! I don't think I'm ever going to go black friday shopping again but if I do i will definatly get there earlier!! But it sure was nice to be sitting in the airport waiting to board and to be able to connect to the internet and watch netflix!

AMR

So on Monday Nick started his new Job with AMR (american medical response). We are so excited! So for the first 2 weeks he is in a training academy and he says it is so boring. But he is working 40 hours and getting paid quite a bit more than when he was working with Pro-Transport(this was a crappy company who basically transported geriatric patients, they paid him $10 per hour and only paid for half of his benifits and none of mine). WE are so happy he isn't working there anymore!

football

Football is pretty much my favorite sport (besides baseball). the 13 yr old that I nanny is on the high school frosh team and he had a game on Thursday. I decided to go for a bit to support him. When I got there the first person I saw that I knew was my 6 yr old . He was sitting down at the bottom of the bleachers all by himself, so I sat by him and he pointed out where his mom and dad were sitting so I could go sit by them. Before I left I asked him why he was sitting down there all by himself. and he said it was because he was watching the cheerleaders. He told me that the cheerleaders were his favorite part of football games! I laughed so hard. Also my 13 yr old got a concusion during his game but will return to practice on Monday.

Another funny thing that happened is I was taking my 11 yr old  to her cheer practice. She cheers for the town peewee football. I gave her a gray dress like 2 months ago, on the way to practice she informed me that she knows what she wants to be for halloween. "I want to be a Zombie, is it alright with you if I wear the gray dress you gave me?" I said sure honey thats fine I gave that dress to you so you can wear it whenever you want, I no longer have a say in it. Then I asked her if she had worn it at all since I gave it to her and she said and I quote "No, it's kind of a mormon dress." I chuckled and asked her what she meant and she couldn't really explain, soi instead I explained about our standards and what now.

All in all I had some good laughs on Thursday

so tired

When I got home on Sunday night after my long long long weekend I was so tired I couldn't even make sentences! I've decided (and I've told my mom and she agreed) that if I am ever a single mom I'm going to move in with her and she is going to help me. Because this weekend I was a single mom of 4 kids and it is so tiring! We had a friend over for dinner and he asked me about a book I just finished and I couldn't even tell him what the book was about. I haven't been that tired in a very long time!

So yesterday I had to drive the little girl I nanny to the football game she was cheering at. I didn't get lost at all going there which is suprising because I had to drive on 4 different freeways to get there. I had the 3 boys with us too. It  rained at the game. I was sitting in the stands trying to do homework while holding an umbrella over me and the 6 year old Jack. I actually got a lot of homework done! We had to leave before the game was over because my 12 year old had basketball tryouts at their church. We left the game early and Maggie got a ride home from another girl on her cheer squad.  Well I got lost on the way back from the game. Turns out I just missed the first exit which puts me on another freeway. But I figured it out in the end thanks to my wonderful husband whom I called. After my crazy morning/day I barely had time to get ready to go see wicked. My mother in law came and watched the kids for me while we went into the city. We rode BART in. Wicked was so fantastic! I had a smile on my face the whole time we were watching it. poor Nick though had a tall guy sitting in front of him so every time the guy moved Nick had to move too in order to see. I definatly want to go see it again! This morning I had to get up and go get the ritual sunday morning bagels for the kids, get Maggie ready to go to cheer pictures. She of course wanted to me to straighten her curly hair which takes some time. Then we sat at the park for an hour and a half for the stinkin pictures. But the good news is I did get more homework done! Nope hopefully I can relax for the rest of the day!

New to this whole thing

I'm new to this whole blogging thing but I thought I would give it a try.

This weekend I am watching the kids I nanny for all weekend. Their parents are going away with their church for a weekend of prayer. The kids have so many activities that I need to drive them to that the dad made me a chart of who needs to be where and when! So basically this weekend I am a glorified driver. Also on Saturday me and Nick are going to see Wicked. He got me the tickets for our 2 year anniversary! He is the best husband ever! I am really busy these days! I am an office assistant in the morning, nanny in the afternoon and I am taking a class at the local college. Right now I am just taking a history class but it is the history of the US before 1877 and its pretty interesting! My teacher is black and it put the whole slavery topic on a new level for me having it come out of his mouth. Living where I have I've been racially sheltered. Living in CA has really opened my eyes.
